Want to get a jump on the new semester and enhance your study skills? The Spring 2014 WISH schedule starts this week and continues through February. There are three workshops available:
WISH (Workshops In Studying Here at SMCC), are seminars on college study and success skills. These are free to all SMCC students and no advance registration is required. Come to one or all three of the workshops.

2014 Maine NEW Leadership Summer Institute
We just received word of a great Leadership opportunity for undergraduate college women: Maine NEW Leadership - Public Leadership Education for College Women
The 2014 Institute will be held at the University of Maine in Orono from May 30 to June 4, 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity offered by the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center providing a FREE six-day residential, non-partisan training program to undergraduate college women. The goal is to educate and empower women to become civic and political leaders. All backgrounds, interests and majors welcome.
To be eligible, undergraduates must either be from Maine or attending college in Maine. Graduating college seniors are eligible to apply. Applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered by March 21, 2014.
Traditional and non-traditional college women from all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Additional information and application forms are available at http://mcspolicycenter.umaine. edu/55-2/maine-new-leadership/ .
